Dieser Teil von IEC 60204 gilt für elektrische, elektronische und programmierbare elektronische Ausrüstungen und Systeme für Maschinen, die während des Arbeitens nicht von Hand getragen werden, einschließlich einer Gruppe von Maschinen, die abgestimmt zusammenarbeiten. Die Ausrüstung, die von diesem Teil von IEC 60204 abgedeckt wird, beginnt an der Netzanschluss-Stelle der elektrischen Ausrüstung der Maschine. Dieser Teil von IEC 60204 gilt für die elektrische Ausrüstung oder Teile der elektrischen Ausrüstung, die mit Nennspannungen bis einschließlich 1 000 V Wechselspannung oder bis einschließlich 1 500 V Gleichspannung und mit Nennfrequenzen bis einschließlich 200 Hz betrieben werden. Dieser Teil von IEC 60204 berücksichtigt nicht alle Anforderungen (z. B. Schutz, Verriegelung oder Steuerung), die notwendig sind oder durch andere Normen oder Vorschriften gefordert werden, um Personen vor anderen als elektrischen Gefährdungen zu schützen. Jede Maschinenart hat spezielle Anforderungen, die zu berücksichtigen sind, um für eine angemessene Sicherheit zu sorgen. Dieser Teil von EN 60204 legt keine zusätzlichen und besonderen Anforderungen fest, die für die elektrische Ausrüstung von Maschinen zutreffen können, einschließlich solcher, die: - für die Benutzung im Freien bestimmt sind (das heißt außerhalb von Gebäuden oder anderen schützenden Einrichtungen); - explosionsfähige Stoffe verwenden, be- oder verarbeiten oder herstellen (zum Beispiel Farbe oder Sägemehl); - für die Benutzung in explosionsgefährdeten und/oder feuergefährdeten Atmosphären bestimmt sind; - besondere Risiken haben, wenn bestimmte Stoffe hergestellt oder verwendet werden; - für die Benutzung im Bergbau bestimmt sind; - Nähmaschinen, Näheinheiten oder Nähanlagen sind; - Hebezeuge sind Hauptstromkreise, in denen elektrische Energie direkt als Werkzeug verwendet wird, sind von diesem Teil von IEC 60204 ausgenommen.
